FAQ

  • Q Can you ship small quantities (less than 1 MT) internationally?

    A

Yes. For quantities below 1,000 kg, we typically arrange LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight via our partnered freight forwarders or express courier (DHL/FedEx) for very small quantities (≤50 kg). LCL shipments consolidate your cargo with other shipments, adding 3–5 days to transit time but significantly reducing cost vs. FCL. Minimum charge for LCL is typically 1 CBM. For sample sizes (1–30 kg), express courier is the most practical and cost-effective option. Please note that smaller shipments may have higher per-kg freight costs — we recommend consolidating orders where possible.

  • Q Do you offer freight insurance? What happens if goods are lost or damaged in transit?

    A

Under CIF terms, we include standard marine cargo insurance covering All Risks (Institute Cargo Clauses A) as part of the CIF quotation. Coverage is typically 110% of CIF invoice value. Under FOB terms, insurance is the buyer's responsibility. In the event of transit damage or loss: (1) notify us within 5 business days of arrival with photographic evidence; (2) file a formal claim with the insurance company using the provided policy certificate; (3) we will support the claim process with all necessary documentation. For Trade Assurance orders on Alibaba, Alibaba's dispute resolution also provides an additional protection layer at no cost to the buyer.

  • Q What is the HS code for plasticizers? Will there be import duties?

    A

Primary HS codes for our products: DOP — HS 2917.32.00; DOTP — HS 2917.36.00; DINP/DIDP — HS 2917.39.00; DINCH — HS 2917.39.00 or 2906.19 (depending on destination). Import duty rates (indicative): EU — 6.5% for phthalates (DOP), 0% for non-phthalates (DOTP/DINCH) under certain tariff classifications; USA — additional Section 301 tariff currently applies to most China-origin chemicals; Middle East — typically 5%; Southeast Asia — 0–5% under RCEP. We provide the correct HS code and recommend buyers verify exact rates with their customs broker, as rates are subject to change. We can issue a binding HS code pre-classification letter for EU import purposes.

  • Q Do you handle export customs clearance? What documents do you provide?

    A

Yes. We handle all China-side export customs clearance as part of our FOB/CIF service. Documents provided with every shipment: Commercial Invoice; Packing List; Bill of Lading (OBL or Telex release); Certificate of Origin (CO) — Form A / General CO / FORM E/F for ASEAN; Certificate of Analysis (COA); Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS); REACH compliance letter; Phytosanitary or other regulatory certificates upon request. Additional documents (fumigation certificate, halal certificate, SGS inspection report) are available upon request. All documents are provided in English; Chinese versions available if required.

  • Q How long does sea freight take from China to my destination?

    A

Estimated sea transit times from Ningbo/Shanghai: North America (West Coast) — 14–18 days; North America (East Coast via Panama) — 25–32 days; Europe (North Sea ports: Rotterdam, Hamburg) — 28–35 days; Mediterranean ports — 22–28 days; Middle East (Dubai, Jeddah) — 18–22 days; Southeast Asia (Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta) — 7–14 days; South America (São Paulo, Buenos Aires) — 30–40 days. These are vessel transit times; add 3–5 days for pre-shipping documentation and port clearance. We track every shipment and provide real-time container tracking numbers via Bill of Lading.

  • Q Which ports do you ship from and what shipping methods are available?

    A

We ship from Ningbo Port and Shanghai Port (both in Zhejiang/Shanghai region) — two of the world's top-5 busiest container ports, offering daily vessel departures to all major global destinations. Shipping options: Sea freight (FCL / LCL) — most cost-effective for bulk orders ≥500 kg; Air freight — available for urgent small orders ≤50 kg (courier-grade); Express courier (DHL/FedEx/UPS) — for samples up to 30 kg, door-to-door delivery in 3–7 days; Railway (China–Europe) — available for European buyers, 18–22 days vs. 30–35 days by sea, mid-range cost. Please specify your preferred method and we will provide a freight quotation.

  • Q What is the lead time for plasticizer orders?

    A

Standard lead time from order confirmation and deposit receipt: 7–15 business days for 1–5 MT orders (in-stock or short production run). 15–25 business days for 5–20 MT orders. For orders >20 MT, lead time is confirmed based on current production schedule — typically 20–30 business days. We maintain a safety stock of most-demanded SKUs (DOP, DOTP, DINP) to enable faster dispatch for urgent orders. Rush orders (3–5 business day dispatch) are possible for in-stock items at a 5% surcharge. Please indicate your required delivery date in your inquiry so we can assess feasibility.

  • Q Which international quality standards do your DOA products comply with? Is food contact application supported?

A Our DOA products strictly follow the international chemical industry quality standards for production and have passed the ISO9001 quality management system certification. All product indicators meet the ASTM international general testing standards. At the same time, our products fully comply with the EU REACH regulations, the US FDA food contact material safety standards, and the Chinese GB 4806.6 food contact plastic materials and products standards. They can be safely used in related application scenarios such as food contact PVC products and food packaging films. We can provide complete quality inspection reports, compliance statements, and food contact safety certification documents with the goods to fully ensure our customers' export compliance needs.
